Sure, the meme might be a little dated BUT IT'S TRUE!!! Yes, the Hack-A-Thon will soon be upon us. Our rapid prototype Hack-A-Thon is scheduled for next Friday from April 17th, 18th & 19th at Brightlane, located at 545 King St. W Toronto ON
This will be the last pre-event blog post trying to explain to you why the Hack-A-Thon may very well be completely up your alley (aka explaining to you what it's all about)
Let's be real for a sec, shall we? We've fielded A BUNCH of questions wondering if the Hack-A-Thon is right for them. Let's try and cover that.
The main issue that we're trying to tackle is PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT, for product made of fabric (don't worry, we'll talk about 'products made of fabric' and what the hell that means in our blog post tomorrow). We've noticed that the main obstacle that startups & entrepreneurs face is the ability to product a prototype of their product! This is what we plan to address.
It's focused on business owners (or prospective business owners) who are having a hell of a time trying to get their idea to happen! They are unable to give their product physical form in order to test, develop of even just see, feel & touch what's in their brain.
With that one main issue addressed, we'll be offering access to a number of different tools that entrepreneurs need as well. Tools such as crowdfunding, raising capital, building eCommerce, devising a marketing strategy & building your brand. All those will be tools are super valuable but the main focus of this specific Hack-A-Thon is centred around the that development & creation of that initial prototype.
